Hate Your Weight

Would you say you hate your weight? If you do, don't despair. Chances are the vast majority of adults in the U.S. don't like how much they weigh and wish there was something they could do about it.

In reality, you can change the way you look and how much you weigh, if you hate your weight. This might sound untrue, especially to those who have tried time and again to lose those unwanted pounds. And of course losing is just half the battle; trying to keep that weight off can be the most difficult part!

So what can you do when you absolutely hate your weight? Are you powerless and does anything work for the long-term? Consider a few quick but important tips in this regard.

Start Slow

When you hate your weight then no doubt you want it fixed now, immediately. This type of thinking often leads to the temptation of crash dieting and unhealthy supplements and products. This often leads to long-term and serious health concerns.

Being impatient may also lead to the temptation of giving up when you don't reach your goals as quickly as you would like. Going slow, being reasonable with your expectations, and taking your time will mean weight loss that is more likely to be permanent. This will also mean not hurting yourself with exercise that is too strenuous or dangerous.

Ask for Help

When you hate your weight, ask for help in losing it. This help is typically best from a doctor or licenses professional of some sort. He or she can advise you personally on changes you can make and what you need to be mindful about, especially if you have specific health concerns.

There are many doctors today that specialize in weight loss and maintenance and can help you medically. They can advice you on what foods are good to be eaten when you're trying to lose weight, and why they're the best choices. They can also advise you on foods that sabotage your efforts when you hate your weight.

In some cases a weight loss program may be covered by medical insurance, but even if it's not, it's a good investment in your own health. Start with your insurance carrier and see what is covered in this regard. You may need a referral from your family doctor but this referral can mean making changes that are the healthiest for you.

When you hate your weight, it can be difficult and it can be discouraging. But there's no reason to think you need to give up and just accept your weight; there is always something you can do to change it. Even small changes can add up to big weight loss over time. And you may find that you actually enjoy that new aerobics class or dance class you're taking! So ask for help and be patient, and soon your weight will be at an acceptable rate that you will love.
